I Love Coffee, I Hate K-Cups!
Hopefully every k-cup user will reconsider and do better for our environment.
I drink coffee just about every single day. We have had a Keurig machine in our home for over ten years. Two years ago I stopped using k-cup coffee pods. I still use my Keurig daily but I could not in good conscience continue to use the pods. Not because of the taste but because of the impact on the environment. What impact? For starters:
“In 2014 alone, enough K-Cups were sold that if placed end-to-end, they would circle the globe 10.5 times. Almost all of them ended up in landfills. They are not recyclable. Using them is extremely wasteful and irresponsible; they are a stupid way to make coffee that simply cannot be sustained.”
So how do I still use my Keurig daily? I use a Reusable K Cup Pod! They’re cheap (currently a pack of 4 for $7.99 on Amazon), works exactly the same, saves money, and I do my part to protect the environment, I mean I was using about one a day or 365 per year. I’m just one person. Now think about the millions of people around the world who enjoy a Keurig machine. We have to do better. Start by not buying k-cups anymore and instead buy regular coffee and use a reusable k-cup pod instead. Check these out on Amazon.
